Light up a growing city, one cable at a time.

You start with a gas plant, one substation and a handful of houses. Drag a cable, then another, and watch the windows light up one by one.

Laying the first power line

The city grows a little every day, and every evening everyone gets home at once and puts the kettle on. That's the puzzle: lay out the grid in the morning so it carries the evening. If one line can't, it trips, and a second line next to it brings the lights back. Take your time. You can pause whenever you like and plan while the city waits.

A line overloads at the evening peak, trips, and a second line brings the city back

Every morning you also pick one delivery out of three. Another plant? A battery for the evening? Or just more cable, because the new neighbourhood up the hill still has nothing at all?

The city grows and new districts get connected

What's inside

A campaign of six cities, about two hours in total, each built around its own little puzzle. One runs on cheap coal and has a smog problem, another has a dam with only as much water as the river brings.

And Endless, where every run is a fresh random city that keeps growing for as long as your grid keeps up. Add modifiers to make it easier or trickier, and chase your own record.

Tell us how it went

This is the first public version and we read every comment. Which city did you like most? Where did you get stuck, if anywhere? Was anything confusing in the first ten minutes?

Good to know

The game speaks English, German, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese and Russian. Some of the translations were done with the help of an LLM, so if a line sounds odd in your language, please tell us. Coding assistants were also used during development.

On macOS the app isn't signed yet: the first time, open it, then go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and press Open Anyway. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning; click More info, then Run anyway.

It's free. If you enjoy it, a small tip goes a long way.

nice game but it is doing the inverse of what it says it would do always picking coal power first intead of anything else.

Thanks for playing and for pointing this out! You’re right, the text is a little misleading. A coal plant can’t go below half its output while it’s connected, so it burns that half no matter what. The grid uses that part first, since it’s burning anyway, and only then takes sun, wind and gas, with coal’s extra output last. So when the city needs less than coal’s minimum, it looks like coal always comes first. To really make room for clean power, unplug the coal plant by removing its lines. I’ll make the tip say this clearly in the next update. Thank you!
